Section 01

Weekly Prize Offer

By popular demand — the weekly prize is back! The winning team each week receives a round of drinks and a free pizza, redeemable the following Monday at Whittletaps Cheltenham.

Eligibility

  • The prize is awarded to the team that finishes 1st place on the night.
  • The prize must be redeemed the following Monday during the quiz (not on any other day).
  • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • If the winning team does not attend the following week, the prize is forfeited.

Drinks

The round of drinks is limited to one drink per person who was present on the winning team the previous week. For example, if the winning team had 3 people the previous week, only 3 drinks are eligible the following week.

  • Soft Drink
  • Single & Mixer
  • Pint of Lager or Cider (including Guinness)

Not included

  • Craft Beers
  • Double Spirit & Mixer
  • Cocktails

Pizza

  • One free pizza per winning team.
  • The pizza cannot be a ‘Create Your Own’ pizza.
  • Subject to availability on the night.

Section 02

Rollover Jackpot

  • The jackpot grows every week as a slice of each player’s £1 entry rolls in.
  • The jackpot can only be hit on the wheel round on quiz night.
  • If nobody lands it, the full amount rolls over to the following week’s quiz.

£300 Jackpot Rule

If the jackpot stands at £300 or more, the following week’s quiz becomes a MUST-WIN Jackpot Night.

  • £150 must be won on the Must-Win night. The normal jackpot game is replaced by the £150 Must-Win wheel.
  • The Must-Win wheel carries 10 cash prizes: 4×£5, 3×£10, 2×£25 and 1×£50.
  • Each prize is removed from the wheel once won, a team can win only one Must-Win prize, and the wheel keeps spinning until the full £150 has been awarded.
  • Whatever remains in the jackpot rolls over to the following week’s quiz.
  • Example: if the jackpot stands at £308 after a normal night, the following week is a Must-Win night — £150 is guaranteed to be won and £158 rolls over. If the pot drops back below £300, the normal rollover wheel continues.

Section 03

Monthly Prizes

  • 1st place for the month receives half of the entry fees collected for that month.
  • 2nd place receives a £30 bar tab.
  • The bar tab must be used on the last Monday of the month or the first Monday of the following month.
  • The Quizmaster and the pub may extend the 2nd place prize under certain circumstances.
  • Monthly prizes are separate from and do not affect the weekly prize.

Section 04

General

  • A Whittle Quiz and Whittletaps Cheltenham reserve the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time without prior notice.
  • In the event of a dispute, the decision of the quiz master is final.
  • This offer is available only to teams playing A Whittle Quiz at Whittletaps Cheltenham.

Section 05

Cash Handling

Cash collected during the event will be held securely on the venue’s premises while the quiz is in progress. The Quizmaster will take reasonable care in safeguarding cash but accepts no liability for loss arising from theft, robbery, fraud or other events beyond their reasonable control.
